COMPETITION ENTRY FOR THE LIGHTHOUSE HOTEL

Serenity and Balance “Wild is the Wind” embodies serenity—an undisputed balance of mind, body, and space, enhanced by nature. The design immerses guests in the hotel’s unique natural context, where every detail contributes to a seamless, memorable experience. Entrance & Gardens The micro-location entrance sets the tone with traditional Trani pavement and local vegetation. Micro gardens, including edible plants, distribute scents and flavors, while strategically placed leisure areas frame breathtaking sea views. Ground Floor Experience The entrance hall, using the same Trani treatment, doubles as an art space for temporary exhibitions. The north-east hosts guest support services, while the north-west offers dining, drinks, and casual social areas—all with direct sea and garden views. Guest Suites Suites are private escapes, divided into lounge, bedroom, and bathroom zones. Natural light and sea views flow throughout, with wooden floors, Merletto-inspired tiles, and subtle fireplaces creating serene, functional spaces. Rooftop Retreat The rooftop is the hotel’s crescendo, engaging all five senses. Dining, sunbathing, private yoga, and cooking classes with fresh herbs from the gardens offer unforgettable experiences, framed by panoramic views. Sustainability & Biodiversity The design promotes sustainability with composting, recycling stations, low-flow water fixtures, and vertical gardens that support local biodiversity from ground to rooftop.
