THE SOLAR HOUSE
Thessaloniki, Greece
The interior of the Solar House is conceived as a quiet expression of energy—where light, material, and space become the primary design drivers. Designed as a fully self-sufficient home, the project transforms sustainability from a technical feature into a lived spatial experience. Soft daylight washes across textured stone, pale timber, and matte surfaces, creating a constantly shifting interior that responds to the sun’s movement. The open-plan layout is fluid and continuous, allowing spaces to expand and adapt while maintaining clarity and efficiency. A refined contrast between warm natural materials and precise black metal elements introduces a subtle technological language—echoing the hidden systems that power the house. Linear lighting traces the architecture, reinforcing rhythm and horizontality, while suspended elements enhance the sense of lightness. Furniture is low, modular, and sculptural, grounding the space without interrupting its flow. Every element feels intentional yet effortless, supporting a lifestyle where the house operates independently—producing and managing its own energy while maintaining comfort and elegance. The Solar House becomes not just a showroom for sustainable living, but a self-sufficient environment where design and energy exist in complete harmony.
